How this works and what it cannot tell you

Contribution means selling price after the entered fee, product cost and other selling cost. It is not net profit: overhead, tax, returns and unentered costs are excluded.

Baseline units = observed completed units ÷ in-stock days × comparison days, rounded down and capped by stock. Required promotion units = (baseline contribution + campaign budget) ÷ positive discounted contribution per unit, rounded up.

Prices round to cents. Fee calculations retain fractions of a cent internally. Displayed totals may be rounded. The break-even price covers the entered product and selling costs before campaign spending.

These are conditional comparisons. A discount does not prove more people will buy. Recent sales may not repeat; seasonality, traffic, stockouts and customers who would buy at full price can change the result.

Buying cost may already be paid. Selling below that cost can still release cash, but this calculator cannot choose between holding, liquidation, bundles or disposal for you.

    Contribution if every unit sold
    $454.00
Cash after selling costs if every unit sold
    $2,854.00
Product cost of the entered stock
    $2,400.00

The cash figure excludes product cost already paid, but includes the entered campaign cost. It is conditional on every unit selling; it is not a cash-flow forecast.
